Hops, Trivia, and a Royal Surprise Steal the Show!

The British Club at Dove Mountain Brewery

Cheers, chatter, and a touch of royal flair made for a fantastic afternoon as 21 attendees gathered on March 23 at Dove Mountain Brewery for a spirited British Club get-together.

Guests enjoyed sampling a variety of beer flights alongside other refreshing beverages, while a delicious spread kept everyone happily fueled—from fish and chips to hearty burgers and barbecued pulled pork salads. And for those with a sweet tooth, the tempting desserts certainly didn’t disappoint!

With the warm Arizona weather in full effect, the group relaxed on the outdoor patio, where cooling misters kept things comfortable and the atmosphere perfectly laid-back.

Adding to the fun was a lively British trivia quiz featuring 18 questions that covered everything from royalty and old currency to the Commonwealth and classic cartoons. The winning team proudly took home an Easter basket—then won even more hearts by generously sharing the chocolates with everyone!

A standout moment? The grand debut of a life-size cutout of King Charles III, which quickly became the star attraction. Not only did attendees line up for photos, but curious onlookers from around the restaurant joined in on the fun as well.

A big thank you goes out to the fabulous organizers; Janita, Sue, Arlene, and Helen, for creating such a memorable and engaging event for the British Club.

And the fun continues! The next gathering is set for April 13 at Nonna Maria’s, so keep an eye out for the flyer and get ready for another great time. You don’t want to miss it!
