Roger Lloyd Lindeken
Roger Lloyd Lindeken passed away peacefully at his home in SaddleBrooke Ranch, Arizona, on June 4, 2026, surrounded by those he loved most. He leaves behind a legacy of service, integrity, adventure, and devotion to family.
Born in Oakland, Calif., on Aug. 30, 1942, and raised in Walnut Creek, Roger discovered his aptitude for business and accounting while attending Diablo Valley College. After graduating from San José State University, he began a career that would take him around the world.
In 1970, Roger married the love of his life, Marsha. Their marriage of more than 55 years was filled with devotion, friendship, and adventure. Early assignments with Kaiser Aluminum in Jamaica and later with Arabian American Oil Company in Saudi Arabia provided opportunities to live abroad and raise their family while embracing new cultures. During those years, Roger also earned an MBA from University of Oklahoma.
In 1987, the family settled in Reno, Nev., where Roger built and operated a successful bookkeeping and tax practice for more than 30 years. Known for his honesty, expertise, and patience, he earned the trust and respect of clients and colleagues alike.
Service to others remained a constant throughout Roger’s life. He volunteered with business development and educational organizations, supported the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and was an active Rotarian for many years. After moving to SaddleBrooke Ranch in 2020, he joined the Sunrise Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke and served as Club President in 2022.
Roger’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marsha; daughter Lisa Lindeken and spouse Jeff Kluve; son Chris Lindeken and spouse Vanessa Lindeken; grandchildren Giulianna and Luke Lindeken; and sisters Margi Lindeken Mutio and Marty Roderick.
Roger will be remembered for his intelligence, kindness, humility, curiosity, and wicked sense of humor. He lived fully, served generously, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial celebration of Roger’s life will be held this fall at SaddleBrooke.
