Introduction to Zentangle
Aug. 10, 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Many residents of SaddleBrooke Branch are now fans of Zentangle art. Here’s your opportunity to join in on the fun! This will be an introductory class on the basic steps of the Zentangle method. No artistic ability is required! You will create several pieces of art in a supportive, relaxing environment.
Watercolor—Color-block Mosaic Landscape
Aug. 20, 9 a.m. to noon
Join Liz Iverson as she takes you through the step-by-step process of creating a very different type of landscape painting. Gold ink will outline the sections of this beautiful color-block piece giving it a “Tiffany-lamp-style” look! Scene will be pre-drawn on watercolor paper … no drawing required. Fun class for beginners or experienced watercolorists.
Art Deco Inspired Zentangle
Aug. 24, 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Certified Zentangle Teacher Val Barsevich presents a creative session using traditional tangles from the Zentangle method that mirror the characteristics of the Art Deco movement—sleek, geometric, symmetrical, and stylized organic shapes. This is an all-levels class with some Zentangle experience required.
Camera Phone Photography
Aug. 27, 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Back by popular demand! The SBR Art Club is once again offering this class with local photographer Nancy Schroeder, all using the camera on your phone! Learn how to maximize function and formats for sharper and more creative images from your phones. Great class for all levels who want to get the most of their phone camera!
