SBR: Strong – Brave – Resilient: Fighting Cancer with Knowledge: Save the Date!

Sandy Jessop

Mark your calendar for this year’s Cancer FUNraising event! It will be Friday, Oct. 16, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the La Hacienda Club here at SaddleBrooke Ranch.

The Saddlebrooke Ranch Cancer Support Group members, along with the Cancer Auction Committee, are hard at work making sure we have some fabulous items for this year’s event. Like last year, there will be a limited food menu, the Bistro’s full bar, and the wonderful band, AZ You Wish, to ensure a good time for all!

Most of the monies raised through this auction will help fund treatments for patients who are suffering from all forms of blood cancers. Over the past 20 years, Blood Cancer United (formerly LLS) has helped fund over 70% of FDA-approved blood cancer treatments. A small amount of funds from the auction will stay at SaddleBrooke Ranch’s Cancer Support Group to help community members who have been affected by cancer.

If you can’t attend the auction or would like to kick-start our fundraising by making an online donation, please follow these easy directions to make a donation to the team member of your choice!

Choose a team member from the “Donate to a Team Member” section on the lower right side of the web page.

Follow the online instructions to complete your credit card donation.

You can also register as a Team Member and raise funds by simply sending an email and/or posting on social media. Templates are available to ensure an easy process.

We are proud to feature a Masters golf tournament flag signed by these past winners: Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tom Watson, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Seve Ballersteros. In 2015, a similar flag signed by six prior winners (Woods, Spieth, Nicklaus, Palmer, Player, and Mickelson) sold at auction for $1,500!

We are still looking for auction item donations from residents and community businesses, if you would like to donate items such as wine and gift baskets or art created here at the Ranch! Please note that aside from artwork, all auction items must be new. If you have something to donate and/or would like to help secure donated items, please contact us to coordinate requests. All donations will be accepted starting Sept. 1, so if you are a Glasshopper, Mudslinger, painter, weaver, quilter, jewelry maker, woodworker, or any other group I may have missed, please email sjessop@att.net with the following information:
