Is it hard for you to let go of the pain that life causes so you can move forward into the newness of life?
Grieving is a natural part of life. Loss of loved ones, health, or career are just a few of the things we are forced to face and grieve throughout our lives.
Yet many of us have trouble with letting go and grieving. And when we are emotionally stunted, it’s nearly impossible to grieve in such a way as to set our souls free from our deepest losses.
God gave us feelings to help us process life—the good and the bad. When we suffer a loss, we need to be able to move through the various stages of feelings: disappointment, shock, hurt, anger, sadness. If we are unable, we will never be able to cry and release all our pain, fully grieving away our losses. But it also takes more: We need to allow others to help us grieve because tears are not enough. This retreat will focus on learning to truly grieve life’s hardships—and on allowing others to help us—so we can move forward in life.
