Arlene Wong
Nandita and Prag Shah, who moved to SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) in September 2025, are avid hikers and travelers. They have moved many times and lived in Pittsburgh, Pa.; Brussels, Belgium; Princeton, N.J.; and most recently in Gilbert, Ariz., for 12 years before moving to SBR.
They love to travel and have visited many countries of the world. Recent travels include hiking in the lower Himalayas, New Zealand, Chile, Japan, and National Parks in the U.S. Their interest in wine and food has also taken them to wonderful wineries in the U.S. and other countries.
They will share with us how they typically research and organize their travel. We will be treated to the details of the incredible experiences they had touring the South and North Islands of New Zealand, having spent two weeks on each. We will hear about the varied dramatic landscapes, rich indigenous culture, world-class food and wine, and outdoor adventures they experienced. We will also be treated to details of Maori culture, geothermal marvels, shooting geysers, natural thermal hot springs, a hot water beach, caves, volcanoes, and more!
Whether visiting New Zealand is something you aspire to do or you just want to learn about this incredible country, you’ll want to see their wonderful photographic images and hear about this island country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean.
We hope you’ll be able to attend this presentation on Sept. 29 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the La Mesa Room.
