Looking for an Activity That Checks All of the Boxes?

September’s event featured a tribute to Dolly Parton starting with line dance “9 to 5.” Our extraordinary instructors went all-in, complete with blonde Dolly wigs—(in center) Deanna Berthiaume and Ana Bae. (Photo by Charles Hendryx)

The SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) line dance group welcomes you to join the fun.

* Movement to lively music

* Socialize with a focus on learning

* Master new steps to activate both brain and body

* Not too serious or competitive

In fact, do you know what happens if you mess up on the steps while dancing?

NOTHING! So it’s easy to just laugh it off, chalk it up to your own creativity, and get back into the dance.

We are very fortunate at SBR to have three excellent, experienced line dance instructors teaching five levels: Beginning Level 1, 1 Plus, Level 2, 2 Plus, and Level 3 classes.

Once a month (September through May) there is a line dance event in the Sol Ballroom. The instructors put together a custom playlist that includes all levels of dance that have been practiced in class.

The dance has a workshop energy as the instructors lead a short walk-through demonstration prior to each dance to refresh dancers’ memories.

Using a “split floor” innovation allows two separated groups of dancers to use the same song but each group dances a different line dance based on their level of expertise. Then our amazing DJ Gus plays the familiar music which invites Everybody Dance Now!

New classes start in early November. For more information visit our SBR dance club website at sbrsbdc.clubexpress.com or contact Angela Jerman at a.jerman@yahoo.com.
