Ranch Democrats recently hosted a visit from Pinal County Recorder in charge of elections. Dana Lewis gave a wonderful presentation on their award-winning facility (the fishbowl) and their upgraded procedures for election integrity. Dana encouraged everyone who doesn’t vote in person to return their ballots ASAP so they can tabulate more quickly. She took many questions from the audience and people enjoyed her and her presentation.
Kevin Volk, one of our current LD17 House Representatives, came to discuss issues at the legislature that he is concerned about: Water issues and protection, data center concerns such as utilities rates increase, environment noise pollution, subsidies, and lack of jobs as they are manned by a skeleton crew. His goal is for Arizona to ensure we educate, protect veteran and senior benefits, and ensure we are staffed for good healthcare. He took many questions from the audience.
