The Gardeners Exchange of Saddlebrooke Ranch welcomes Chuck Parsons, long-time member of The Green Valley Garden Club to speak on Wednesday, July 27, at 1:00 p.m. The program, “Taking the Mystery Out of Sonoran Desert Gardening” will be held at La Hacienda Club, La Mesa Room, SaddleBrooke Ranch. Chuck will simplify the struggles and adaptation most of us experience when we come to this new gardening environment.
A retired business executive, Chuck’s career moved him across much of the country: Oregon, Washington, California, Georgia, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Though he gained no experience with “desert gardening” at any of those places, he has been on an accelerated learning curve since moving to Arizona in 2005! He confesses to having killed a lot of plants when he moved here, has learned why, in most cases, and intends to share with you some of those key insights.
The Gardeners Exchange is dedicated to providing horticultural information for desert gardeners. Bring your questions, bring your answers, bring your garden challenges, bring your excess plants to share. All are welcome. Open seating. No registration is required.
