The eight-week spring softball season ended on June 27. This session featured 16 teams playing in seven leagues on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Let’s recap how the teams fared.
Monday Recreation League: Jeff Rayner managed The Charles Company team to a first place finish with 6 wins and 1 loss. Stone Canyon Painting, led by Janice Mihora, ended up with 1 win, 6 losses.
Monday Community League: Twin Lake Air, LLC with Debbie Seguin at the helm finished with a strong 8 win, 3 loss season. Second place went to Tri-Community Lock & Safe, managed by Harold Weinenger, with a record of 5 wins and 5 losses. The Villas Assisted Living team was led by Mike Hamm to a third place finish with 3 wins and 8 losses.
Tuesday Competitive League: Vantage West Credit Union finished first with a dominant season of 7 wins, 1 loss. Bill Spevak was skipper of the W&W Physical Therapy team whose members “built character” with only 1 win, 7 losses in the season.
Tuesday Community League: Jack Graef was manager of the first place Window Wizard team finishing up with 5 wins, 3 losses. Second place went to Waste Management with Debbie Seguin in charge and a record of 3 wins, 5 losses.
Thursday Coyote had three teams competing. All three teams scored between 135-144 total runs. The championship went to A Closer Look Real Estate Inspection with skipper Jake Jacobson. They finished with 7 wins, 3 losses. Second place went to Allstate Insurance-Bruce Unger with Paul Butler as manager. That record was 5 wins, 6 losses. Third place went to X-Pert Automotive with Ed Cussick making the lineups. Their record was 4 wins, 7 losses.
Friday Competitive League: Ambient Air Heating & Cooling, manager Buzz Schmitt, took top honors with 5 wins, 3 losses. Bank of the West took second place; Mike Hamm led his team to 3 wins, 5 losses.
Friday Community League: Beverly Agnew, DDS with John Reingruber in charge led the way with 5 wins, 3 losses. Second place went to Barron Electric, another Debbie Seguin-led team. This team had 3 wins and 5 losses.
The men and women of SaddleBrooke Softball play year round. Summer season is now underway, and games start by 8:00 a.m. Come out to the beautiful ballpark and see how your friends and neighbors are having fun in the sun!
