Sunday, November 13 — 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The GriefShare Ministry of Community Church at SaddleBrooke (CCSB) will hold a special “Surviving the Holidays” educational and support meeting for people who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
Loss is always difficult, but during the holidays it can seem crushing. Whether your loss is recent or in the past, holidays can create fresh memories of loss and a renewed experience of pain and grief.
This event will help us learn about being prepared for surprising emotions that may hit over the holidays; how to handle family traditions, holiday parties and invitations; how to survive potentially awkward moments with other people; and where to find comfort, strength and hope at a seemingly hopeless time.
There will be a video presentation by expert Christian grief counselors, and a small group discussion to help us assimilate what we learn. This seminar is designed to help those who are grieving to feel better prepared to face the days to come with hope and a measure of peace and assurance.
“Surviving the Holidays” will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Community Church of SaddleBrooke Parish House, 36768 S Aaron Lane, Tucson, AZ.
For more information, reservations and directions to the Parish House call Bruce Block at 858-692-5227 or Genie Williams at 520-576-7493.
Community Church at SaddleBrooke meets every Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke DesertView Theater. We are an all-denominational Christian Church, and all are welcome
