The Gardeners Exchange in conjunction with the SaddleBrooke/SaddleBrooke Ranch Master Gardeners welcomes you to attend “Sustaining Wildlife with Native Plants, presented by Hillary Cox of Fine Gardening fame, on Wednesday, April 25 at 1:00 p.m., La Hacienda Club at SaddleBrooke Ranch.

Ms. Cox’s presentation is based on Doug Tallamy’s book Bringing Nature Home, explaining how everyone with access to a patch of earth can make a significant contribution toward sustaining biodiversity. The use of native plants and water harvesting are key ingredients to helping wildlife, especially in our southern Arizona habitats.

British-born Hilary Cox has lived in Arizona for more than five years. Ms. Cox owns her own garden design business, Leescapes Garden Design. Her gardens and articles have been featured in magazines (Fine Gardening etc.), on TV and on major industry conference tours. Her upcoming book, A Gardener’s Guide to Prairie Plants will soon be released by Chicago University Press. Ms. Cox has monitored plants and wildlife on the phenology trail at Oracle State Park for the USA National Phenology Network. More recently she has been part of the restoration of the garden terraces at the Kannally Ranch House.

Open seating. For more information, please contact Zann Wilson at 219-263-3261 or [email protected].
