As 32 putters from Robson Ranch arrived at our 18-hole green, they viewed an obstacle course made up of orange pumpkins, black cats, pink and black spiders, witches’ hats and striped legs, ‘boo’ posters and long strips of chains.
Since the Robson Ranch club is coed, Ranchette putters invited spouses, partners and friends to join in the fun. A total of 104 participants formed blended teams, recorded team scores and celebrated every hole-in-one.
Event chairman, Monica Gustafson, arranged a hearty buffet luncheon in our new ballroom that provided an additional opportunity to socialize with our guests. Meanwhile statistician, Jeanne Bianchini, computed the winning scores for this event.
Prizes were awarded to each member on the team with the lowest average of 37.33: Evie Thompson, Stan Doepke, Bobbie Johnson, Larry Morrin, Karen Gressingh and Jack Gressingh. Second place team members also receive awards for their average of 37.66: Vicki Godbey, H.G. Godbey, Ben Blisset, Margie Blisset, Linda Sentivanac and Joe Sentivanac.
Additional prizes were distributed to these players with four or more holes-in-one: Jim Baxter (6), Ben Blisset (4), Stan Doepke (5), Dave Douglas (5), Bill Felzien (4), Nick Pike (4), Larry Sandoval (4), Harley Schlachter (5) and Tony Zoellner (4).
Nick Pike, president of the Robson Ranch club, thanked our president, Vicki Godbey, for the invitation, the first one their club has received. Nick was then put to work drawing random raffle tickets for numerous door prizes.
Congratulations to the entire event committee for making the Robson Ranch Invitational a huge success!
