While the Ranchette Putters usually welcome the chance to putt before the heat of the day, the 8:00 a.m. start time in May brought unpredictable, changeable weather. And many of the putters changed clothes accordingly, dressing in layers for our desert conditions.
The Ranchette Putters are proud to announce this month’s winners for the most holes-in-one (six or more) and the first, second and third lowest average scores.
Three ladies rose to the weekly challenges in May and recorded some great gross scores. The third lowest average was turned in by Ann Engraff with 37.500. CJ Kerley landed in second place with an average of 37.000. A stellar putting performance put Terry Pendy on top with an average of 35.000.
Sinking the ball with one stroke takes a lot of talent, and these ladies received prizes for their aces: Debby Felzien with 11; Terry Pendy and Evie Thompson with 8; Corky Mansmith with 7; Doris Carlin, Camille Esterman. Sandy Getter, Sharon Groth, Denise Sandoval and Jean Sticha with 6.
After adjusting scores for handicaps, Ranchette Putters also congratulates our net winners for May: Sandee Bickelhaupt in third place with a net average of 35.600; Corky Mansmith in second place with a net average of 35.033 and Debby Felzien in first place with a net average of 34.850.
Our club is proud of the talent displayed by all our winners and invites all female residents of SBR to join us for a fun weekly event. Check out our bulletin board by the Pro Shop for more information, or contact Cindy Watkins at [email protected].
