Alastair Stone has resided in Saddlebrooke Ranch for over eight years. He and his wife Helga moved here from Colorado. Alastair immediately began volunteering his time to Saddlebrooke Ranch Pickleball Association (SBRPA). He took over the Communications, Marketing, and News Committee a little over a year ago. The biggest challenge faced by Alastair was being a committee of one. The Communications, Marketing, and News Committee is in charge of a multitude of tasks including submitting monthly articles to the SaddleBrooke Ranch Roundup, writing for, and sending out the quarterly pickleball newsletter, and notifying all members of events and activities. Those events included sending notices of social events, tournaments, apparel sales, and rating testing results. Additionally, Alastair would assist in sending out email notices from other board members and committee chairs.
So, at the ripe young age of 80, Alastair has stepped down from the committee. In order to fill his shoes, there are now four people on the committee. They include Miriam Brock, Nancy and Ben Eisenstein, and Debbie Witten. His shoes are too big to be filled by one person alone. So, from SBRPA and all its members, we thank you Alastair!
