Another banner year for the Women’s Club

Marian Bianchini

Time does fly, and with a host of activities and programs, this year was no exception!

To kick off our year, we had the team from ULTA join us to educate the membership in beauty trends spanning hair care, skin care and cosmetics. That was followed by our first ever off-site event at the ULTA Store in Oro Valley with a private event for our members. We shopped, experienced mini-facials and tried new cosmetics!

October was an exciting month. We were one of the first clubs to experience the Sol Ballroom in the new Ranch House! The ballroom was spectacular, and it was the first time we were able to accommodate so many of our members at a luncheon.

We were able to conduct our first ever bus trip up to the Phoenix area in November to the Tanger Outlets for some holiday shopping and a lunch. It was a great success with over 40 members attending.

Some of the other programs over the year were “Ben’s Bells,” L.E.A.P. to Health, the Tucson Book Festival; the Tucson Gem Show and hearing from a designer from Lazy Boy. These programs provided education to our membership, “Be Kind” awareness and information regarding events in our own backyard!

Our annual fashion show in March highlighted some of the “model” members we have in our club! We had ten lovely ladies model chic casual outfits from Soft Surroundings! This luncheon is always a huge success and this year was no exception with our largest attendance ever.

In May, the Women’s Club was very fortunate to have our own SaddleBrooke Ranch Executive Chef, Jose Salas, provide our club with a very special recipe and filmed cooking demonstration. As an extra special surprise, Chef Jose gave each member attending the luncheon a gift of his special Asian hoisin sauce!

The club finished up the year with our June program focusing on fitness. This program was a culmination of various fitness programs offered here at the Ranch including yoga, Zumba, water aerobics and personal training.

The SaddleBrooke Ranch Women’s Club was able to remember our community at large by providing donations to Ben’s Bells and SaddleBrooke Community Outreach. Our donation to SBCO was as a result of the outstanding success in selling our Cookbook, YUM.

This last year saw tremendous growth of our club to over 260 members! This is as a result of hard work of the SBRWC Board and our tireless volunteer committee members. We look forward to another successful year starting with our September luncheon.

Look for us over the summer as we start collecting dues for the September-June club membership. We will be at the Ranch House during a happy hour (or two) and will announce via Next Door and the Robson Ranch Roundup. Please bring a check for new membership or a renewal.
