It is with great excitement that Community Circle Players announce upcoming auditions for their spring production of “Witness for the Prosecution.” Auditions for all roles will be held Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 2 and 3, at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in MountainView Ballroom West. The auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and one female will need to be comfortable with a European accent. Please plan on attending both days!
While the original production had 30 characters, the SaddleBrooke production will have fewer roles. This includes both speaking and non-speaking roles, as well as opportunities for experienced actors and novices. As background, the setting takes place in London, although British accents will not be used. Costumes will be 1950’s vintage and the judge and barristers will wear robes and wigs.
“Witness for the Prosecution” may be the best Agatha Christie mystery ever written. The film version received six Academy Award nominations. Its combination of murder mystery and courtroom drama keeps us guessing until the very last moment of the very last scene. This will be a fun production for the cast and crew!
Performances for the dinner theater, with a no host bar, will be March 29, 30, and 31, and April 2, 3, and 4, 2025. Doors open at 5 p.m., curtain up at 6 p.m.
Tim Morsani, director, recently announced that Carol Henry will serve as his assistant director for this production. If you’d like more information about auditions or backstage opportunities, feel free to contact director Tim Morsani at [email protected].
