B’nai Midbar Upcoming Events

High Holy Day services will be officiated by Rabbi Daniel Price. Participating in the delivery of the services are our exceptional professionals, Eliyanah Powers, Cantorial Soloist, and Dr. Joshua Nichols, Accompanist. We are honored to have Stephen Beecher, Cellist, perform ‘Kol Nidre’ (All Vows) at the Yom Kippur evening service.

Tashlich service will be on Oct. 3. Tashlich symbolizes the forgiveness of sins. It is represented by prayers of forgiveness while casting pieces of bread into a flowing body of water. The bread symbolizes the sins of the past year and is swept away. Those who embrace this tradition are spiritually cleansed and renewed.

A Tradition! At the end of Rosh Hashanah morning services B’nai Midbar presents honey cakes to members in celebrations of the New Year. If you would like to join the “bakers” and help make this a sweet New Year, please contact Melanie Einbund at [email protected].

Exciting News! We have a website! ShalomCloud.com is the application! As the rollout begins, please look for emails from Bonnie Lasky. Bonnie has investigated, spoken to numerous congregations, and worked diligently to bring this important communication tool to us. Todah Rabah (Thank You), Bonnie!

Havdalah

B’nai Midar members and guests will gather for a Havdalah Sunset on Sept. 28, at a SaddleBrooke member’s home. Havdalah is a joyous gathering acknowledging the end of Shabbat and welcomes the new week. The ritual involves lighting a special candle, blessing a cup of wine, smelling sweet spices, singing, and refreshments! Please contact Joy Erickson at 801-450-1116 for additional information.
