On July 22, the Paralyzed Veterans Association wheelchair athletes were treated to a welcome-back luncheon. At the luncheon, the Catalina Mountain Elks Lodge 2815 Veterans Committee in combination with our Past Exalted Rulers (PER) Association gave each athlete $600, for a total of $3,000, toward their expenses for competing in this year’s competition. Participants include Joe Chitty and Bella, Coach Scott Strzyzewski, Steve O’Brien, Sam Shivers, Pam Foley, Steve Hymers, and Paul Cartter.
