Are you looking for a new, creative, rewarding, and relaxing hobby for 2025? Well, look no further. Join the Paper Crafters.

Paper is a fascinating and easily accessible material, most often used to write on or scribble doodles on, but it can be crafted to create magnificent paper works of art. Using different crafting techniques makes a simple piece of paper something unique.

Thank you to all the members who participated in a very busy 2024. We completed numerous card making classes and monthly project demonstrations including origami, heat embossing, tool innovations, and a popup calendar. We also had a World Card Making Day event that included raffles and giveaways for all the participants. We were pleased to see a steady increase of new members plus a steady increase in sales during ARTwalks, Craft Fairs, and from our window at the Activity Center.

In the coming year In addition to the scheduled demonstrations and skill classes, we are hoping to add paper challenges to foster creativity and share project ideas.

Our new slate of officers will include President Suzy Claar, Vice President/Secretary Cheryl Hargett, Treasurer Lupe Loredo, and Roundup Editor Nichole Lawhon. Our membership will make every effort this year to create educational opportunities to learn new skills. We hope to foster an environment for paper crafters to come together and feel a sense of accomplishment while completing projects with their friends.

The studio located in the activity center will continue to be open from 1 to 4 p.m. each Monday. We hope to have more and more members attending this studio time because the more the merrier!

Just a reminder to renew your 2025 dues, they are remaining at $20 this year and can be paid easily during studio time.

If paper crafting sounds interesting to you we encourage you to visit us on Mondays from 1 to 4 p.m. You can meet crafters who will help you get started and give you inspiration to create paper works of art for you to enjoy in the future. Just bring yourself and all supplies will be provided.

We encourage everyone to visit the studio on Mondays between 1 and 4 p.m. to view and purchase items made by our members.
