Creating With Friends—Pastels, Zentangle, and Buttons

Working with pastels group on June 27

Debora Witten

Creating with Friends had a “working with pastels” demo on June 27. There were many budding pastelists learning different technique strokes. Anyone hooked on pastels? If so, come to Creating With Friends on Aug. 29, 1 to 4 p.m., to continue playing with pastels. If pastels are not your creative outlet, many other options are available.

Nancy Worbey did a demo on July 25 on simple Zentangle designs. Zentangle uses micron pens, colored pencils, and gel pens on paper or paper tiles. Come and continue experimenting with additional designs. It is a great medium for cards, scrapbooking, and journaling. It is doodling at its finest and very meditativeget your Zen on.

The next Creating with Friends is on Aug. 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Creative Arts Center. There will be a demo on “creating with buttons.” Erin Newman will show us how to use that button collection you’ve had for years. This should be a fun and funky demo. Get your funk on with “Button, Button, whose got the creative buttons?” Hope to see you there!

No fees. No membership. No supplies? No problem we have you covered. No experience needed; it’s just a fun way to spend an afternoon with friends. If you are working on something, bring your project with you. If you have any questions, contact Ginny Wise at 970-712-9596.
