The Ranchette Putters welcomed any chance to putt before the heat of the day, as the club initiated an earlier start time in May. Cool temperatures and breezy conditions often greeted members as they assembled at 8 a.m. However as the sun warmed the air and play ended, everyone was grateful for the ice water and air conditioning in the La Mesa room.

The Ranchette Putters are proud to announce this month’s winners for the most holes-in-one (six or more) and the first, second, and third lowest average scores.

Three ladies rose to the weekly challenges in May and recorded some great gross scores. The third lowest gross average was turned in by Jacque Hendricks with 36.250. Mary Schlachter landed in second place with a gross average of 36.000. A stellar putting performance put Doris Carlin on top with a gross average of 34.750.

Sinking the ball with one stroke takes a lot of talent and these ladies received prizes for their aces: Doris Carlin with 12; Norma Tanner and Jacque Hendricks with 8; Rita Teresi and Sandy Getter with 7; and Evie Thompson with 6.

After adjusting scores for handicaps, Ranchette Putters also congratulates our net winners for May: Rita Teresi in third place with a net average of 35.733; Andrea Cothran in second place with a net average of 35.633, and Sharon Groth in first place with a net average of 34.850.

Our club is proud of the talent displayed by all our winners and invites all female residents of SaddleBrooke Ranch to join us for a fun weekly event. Check out our bulletin board by the pro shop for more information or contact Corky Mansmith at [email protected].
