Many among us have enjoyed an evening of music with Ron Aeschliman in the past few years at area restaurants or the clubhouses at MountainView, SaddleBrooke or the Ranch. His karaoke nights are sellouts. His gospel, easy listening, or Elvis music performances are wonderfully enjoyable.
You and/or a group of your friends have an opportunity to “win” an evening with Ron’s music at a venue of your choosing and select the style of music you would like him to perform. This could be a block party, or a private home event, or a group gathering at a local club or activity center, or just a fun evening in a large back yard.
Ron Aeschliman is graciously donating a performance for one of the live auction items up for bid at SaddleBrooke’s Power of Pink fundraising event on October 29, 2014. Gather your buddies and bring your collective bidding resources (along with your checkbooks and/or credit cards) to HOA1 and win this great auction item.
The SaddleBrooke communities have a very special afternoon and evening planned as part of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. Among the highlights will be entertainment and music donated by the always popular DJ Gus and Miss Gina, as well as a large variety of live and silent auctions. In addition to the evening of music and merriment with Ron Aeschliman, there will be a gift card tree with a value in excess of $600, an original sculpture of a Native American Woman valued at $450, and a large variety of great items donated by area businesses, artisans and homeowners also up for bid.
Tickets to Power of Pink 2014 cost $20 per person and include entrance to the auction and a pasta/salad buffet. Tickets are on sale at SaddleBrooke’s HOA1 beginning on Wednesday, September 3, at 9:00 a.m. in the SaddleBrooke clubhouse foyer.
Folks who are interested in playing a “laugh and scratch” round of golf the afternoon of the event are invited to sign up in the SaddleBrooke Pro Shop this month. The price is $20 plus your greens fees. If you are not a golfer but might like to putt a crazy course, you may also sign up in the Pro Shop. The price to putt is $20. Both golf and putting fees include entrance to the live and silent auctions and the pasta/salad buffet. What a great bargain!
Proceeds from Power of Pink 2014 go to Susan G. Komen of Southern Arizona. Seventy-five percent of the funds will remain locally in Arizona and be dedicated to direct services for those who are under or uninsured. Twenty-five percent of the revenue will be dedicated to research for a cure.
More than 4,000 women in Arizona are diagnosed with breast cancer annually. While the death rate directly attributed to breast cancer is decreasing due to new discoveries for treatment, the number of individuals who struggle with the disease is still high. For those without insurance, a screening mammogram costs approximately $220. If follow-up treatment is needed, the costs escalate.
Screening and diagnostic mammograms, chemotherapy, radiation and surgery are expensive even for those with basic insurance and co-payments. Those on fixed or limited incomes often forgo medical attention because other budget priorities seem more important.
Join in the fun on October 29, 2014. Help us raise funds for breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and research for a cure. Who knows? You could be the highest bidder for an evening of music with Ron Aeschliman.
