Starting to plan for Fall 2026 at the Ranch? Be sure to mark your calendars for the SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Social Dance Club’s monthly country western dances and upcoming dance lessons!
The SBR Social Dance Club began offering monthly country western dances in the Sol Ballroom in September 2021. Since then, the monthly dances feature the live music of some of the best country bands in Southern Arizona and dancing on one of the largest dance floors in the Tucson area. New bands are sprinkled in with “bring them back again” favorites, with songs ranging from classic to new country.
On Friday, Sept. 11, the club will celebrate five years of country dances at the Ranch, with the highly popular Wild Ride Band providing live music.
The Mark Miller Band plays on Friday, Oct. 2 and the Jesse Colt Band on Friday, Nov. 6. The Jack Bishop Band will bring the year to a close in its first appearance at the Ranch on Wednesday, Dec. 9. These bands play regularly at the most popular venues in the Tucson area and beyond, including Whiskey Roads, Maverick, Foley Ranch, the Outlaw, Gaslight Theatre, and the Tucson Rodeo, to name just a few.
All levels of dancers are welcome. The country western dances focus on country dance styles, including the Two-Step, Waltz, Swing, Partner Pattern, and the Barn Dance, and a couple of country line dances. We wind down the evening with a tribute to our adopted state of Arizona, with dancers partnering up for “I Love You Arizona.”
Don’t know how to western dance? The club offers country western dance lessons on a rotating basis. Beginning Arizona Two-Step and Beginning Country Waltz lessons start on Tuesday, Sept. 15 for five weeks. Partner Pattern and another class of Beginning Two Step start on Tuesday, Oct. 20, also for five consecutive Tuesdays.
