On Feb. 25 at 3:30 p.m. in the La Mesa Room, Travel Talk Tuesday (TTT) will feature South Korea, an East Asian nation on the southern half of the Korean peninsula. It shares one of the world’s most heavily militarized borders with North Korea. It’s equally known for its green, hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples, plus its coastal fishing villages, sub-tropical islands, and high-tech cities such as Seoul, the capital.
South Korea is a picturesque country with a diverse culture including modern and traditional elements. South Korea is a favorite destination for travelers from around the world thanks to its culture, beauty, cutting-edge technologies, international chart-topping pop bands, and striking modern dance.
Join our presentation on Feb. 25 as SaddleBrooke Ranch resident Karen Cain shares an adventure you won’t want to miss. Karen and her sister recently explored this country of exotic culture and unexpectedly friendly inhabitants. Originally drawn to this destination by South Korea’s contemporary music and vibrant art, Karen will take us on her custom tour of Seoul and other memorable locations. She’ll share travel recommendations, compare and contrast the culture of North Korea, discuss her lodging and comical dining experiences, take us on a photo tour, and share a minor physical mishap and how she coped in a foreign country without speaking the local language.
We look forward to you joining us for future travel presentations. If you would like to be a presenter and/or help us coordinate “Travel Talk Tuesday” (especially if you have tech skills), please contact Wonona Davis at [email protected].
