Fitness Instructor of the Month: Meet Kim Denny!

Kim Denny

Debbie McGrady

Three years ago Kim moved from Bloomington, Ind., to join our community here at SaddleBrooke Ranch. Kim teaches Zumba Gold and also Aqua Zumba. Crazy as it sounds, yes, you can do Zumba on land and water!

Kim started her career in fitness in an unusual way. In 2005 she was recruited at a shallow water fitness class to teach the class. She became licensed to teach Zumba in 2010. In 2013 she became certified to teach Zumba Gold and Aqua Zumba. Both classes are low-impact activities that incorporate cardiovascular fitness, balance, range of motion, muscle toning, and flexibility. We say activity, because it doesn’t feel so much like exercise as it does fun! Also did I mention the music? That alone will get you moving! There is no experience needed … you can just be you! For those who have never done Zumba, Aqua Zumba is a great introduction. If you are looking for a low-impact, easy-on-your-joints class, this could be the class to start you on your fitness journey. Whether you pick Zumba Gold or Aqua Zumba, you can’t go wrong! Whether you are looking to get in better shape or just have fun, Kim will be there to guide you through your journey.

Kim always says that teaching is very rewarding for her because she can actually be instrumental in helping students enhance their health while having fun. So don’t wait. Check these classes out, bring a friend, and let’s get moving!

Kim’s classes are as follows:

Aqua Zumba: Mondays and Wednesdays, 11 to 11:50 a.m.

Zumba Gold: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 to 10:20 a.m.
