The Gardeners Exchange of SaddleBrooke Ranch in conjunction with the SaddleBrooke/SaddleBrooke Ranch Master Gardeners welcomes “Awesome Animal Rescues” with speaker Jim Cloer on Thursday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. at MountainView Clubhouse in the West Ballroom.
As a retired science teacher, Jim has always had an interest in animals and nature. As a SaddleBrooke resident he has put this interest to great use. He is a co-founder of the Nature Club and organizes the weekend animal and insect display at Catalina State Park, which is a hands-on educational experience for children (and adults, too) about the living things that inhabit the desert. He is also the rescuer of many SaddleBrooke residents who call him in a panic with snake, insect, pack rat and other “critter” problems. He is always willing to remove our problems and relocate them for us. Jim is also a constantly called upon speaker for natural history presentations.
All residents of SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch are invited to attend. No fee. No registration. Open seating. There is also an Ask Your Master Gardener session between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. to answer questions and help with problems.
