Back by popular demand, Friends of SaddleBrooke Libraries (FSL) is offering a trip to the John Slaughter Ranch on Saturday, October 17. John Slaughter, former Sheriff of Tombstone, will conduct the tour. After departing SaddleBrooke at 8:00 a.m. the first stop will be the Tombstone courthouse where John Slaughter had his office. The tour will then stop at the Gadsden Hotel in Douglas, followed by the John Slaughter Ranch. In the evening this amazing adventure will end with a return trip to SaddleBrooke.
The trip fee of $40 per person for FSL members and $50 for non-members covers travel in an air-conditioned school bus, lunch and an informative and entertaining lecture by Gerry Miller who will bring his friend John Slaughter to lead the ranch tour.
