SBR Neighbors Helping Neighbors is pleased to welcome back Dan Habinek, Community Education Supervisor for the Golder Ranch Fire District (GRFD), along with members of the GRFD team, for a special Safety Clinic on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. in the Ranch House Sol Ballroom.
This interactive session is designed specifically for SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) residents and will cover several important safety and emergency preparation topics.
What to Expect at the Clinic
* Fall Prevention Tips: The presentation will begin with practical guidance on reducing fall risks at home and staying safe in daily activities.
* Fire Extinguisher Simulator: Four to five stations will be set up around the ballroom, giving residents the opportunity to practice using a fire extinguisher through a safe, realistic simulator.
* Hands-On CPR and AED Review: Participants can take part in a 15-minute, hands-on refresher on Compression-Only CPR and how to properly use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
* Tourniquet Application Demonstration: A simulation exhibit will allow residents to learn the correct technique for applying a tourniquet in an emergency.
* Burn Care and Additional Skill Labs: GRFD personnel will demonstrate how to respond to burns and guide residents through several other practical safety skill stations.
GRFD will also provide a Fire Safety information flyer, which includes helpful details that may be useful for your home insurance records.
This clinic is a wonderful opportunity to speak one-on-one with our local fire personnel, ask questions, and gain hands-on experience with basic emergencies and safety techniques.
Don’t miss this valuable presentation in the Sol Ballroom!
