Eleven riders from the Horseback Riding Group enjoyed the first ride of the fall season in October at Rancho de los Cerros located in the Catalina State Park. The location is only about 20 to 30 minutes away in Oro Valley making it a convenient place to enjoy riding through the beautiful State Park and seeing the spectacular panoramic view of the Catalinas.
On Nov. 30 the group did a ride at nearby Westward Look Resort. The resort has a very nice trail through the foothills of the mountains just to the west of the resort property that offers a really nice ride in a very natural setting that seems far from the urban world just outside the gates.
The group takes a break for the holidays and cold weather of January and will be riding again at Donnelly’s D-Spur Ranch in Gold Canyon to enjoy the Superstition Mountains. That ride will take place on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025.

There you will see a web page about the group’s activities and can see the “About Our Rides” section for upcoming rides.
If you would like to participate in a particular ride, simply return to the SBR Clubs page and send an email shown there to Rebecca Williams. Give your name and the name of anyone else joining you, the ride you want to join, and the time if there is a choice. Rebecca will get back to you with a confirmation and can help with any questions you may have. You can participate as often as you choose. All rides are one hour and at a walk, just to enjoy the scenery. Prior to each ride you will be sent complete directions and guidance on reaching the stable for that month. Carpools may also be arranged upon request. Happy Trails!
