The SaddleBrooke Ranch Riding Group is ready to head down the trail this fall at some of the group’s favorite venues. On Saturday morning, October 7, the group will head to stables at Hacienda del Sol. This venue is a hidden gem tucked into the Catalina Foothills. The trail descends into a wide, winding wash that is quiet and peaceful with many pretty views. Hacienda del Sol is a great place to stop for lunch after the ride.
On Saturday morning, November 4, the group will be heading to another favorite spot, Colossal Cave Mountain Park in Vail. This ride has beautiful views of the Rincon Mountains. This area is adjacent to the eastern Saguaro National Forest where there are many fine old specimens to be seen including a rare crested saguaro.
On Saturday, December 9, the group will head to Old Tucson Studios. The trails give great views of some of the most iconic scenes and mountains from famous movies and TV shows of the Old West. After the ride there is an opportunity to stay at the park for a reduced fee to enjoy talks on what life was like in the Old West. There is a train ride around the park, and for a small fee you can also enjoy a ride on the stage coach.
The SaddleBrooke Ranch Riding Group will also be organizing rides in the spring when there may be a few new venues for the group. New venues are always reviewed by us to insure a good experience for all concerned.
The SaddleBrooke Ranch Riding Group is open to any SaddleBrooke Ranch resident. There is no need to attend all of the rides. Come to the rides that fit into your schedule. The group’s secretary coordinates the reservations. Prior horseback riding experience is not required. The rides are typically one hour to 90 minutes at a walk, just to enjoy the scenery. If you are interested in receiving more information on the SaddleBrooke Ranch Riding Group, please contact the group secretary, residents Don and Rebecca Williams, at [email protected].
