SaddleBrooke Ranch, a luxury resort active adult community near Tucson, strives to be world-class in every way. This means not just in what we build, but in what we provide to our residents. Our goal is to nurture the overall well-being of our residents in the amenities we choose, the classes we offer, and the food that we serve. With the welcoming of a new Food and Beverage Director, who is also the Head Chef—Jeremy Imes—there are more delicious and conscious recipes coming to the tables of our residents.
Chef Imes has been a part of the Arizona food scene for most of his life. Starting off at a young age as a dishwasher at the Tack Room, a restaurant known for its five-star food and service, Chef Imes spent his time soaking up as much as he could. He eventually earned his position as a chef and from there, he continued to grow. Serving as a cook at local Tucson restaurants and eventually becoming kitchen manager at City Grill, Chef Imes became Sous Chef for a retirement community in Oro Valley, where he was then promoted to Executive Chef. Imes expressed his excitement for the opportunity to serve as the Executive Chef for The Ranch House, to be able to continue creating innovative dishes and doing what he loves.
As a part of the culinary team at SaddleBrooke Ranch, our chefs strive to listen to the requests of residents to ensure they always have an incredible dining experience. With more and more requests for vegetarian and vegan menu options, The Ranch House recently incorporated five vegetarian or vegan menu items, including a delectable vegan chocolate cake. Vegetarian menu options are meat-free, where vegan options are entirely plant-based. Often times, vegetarian and vegan dishes provide the flavors of classic dishes, with a lighter twist.
The feedback from residents has been overwhelmingly positive, and with amazing dishes such as cauliflower tacos, spaghetti squash pasta with fresh herbs and artichokes, or black bean and sweet potato cakes, there’s no wonder everyone’s leaving happy. According to Chef Imes, the goal of the culinary team is to provide food that is fresh, and made-to-order, so that residents experience food that is delicious and good for you. So, whether you’re looking for something more traditional, or to branch out and try a plant-based dish, the new menu at The Ranch House has something for everyone.
With an already incredible community at SaddleBrooke Ranch, mouthwatering and conscious cuisine is just another one of the finishing touches to help our residents Live Life Inspired. We’re sure one of Chef Imes’ amazing, made from scratch dishes will be sure to keep you coming back for more.
