Exciting news! Come and hear all about Arizona Territory in the 1800s with author Nancy E. Turner and her beloved book These is my Words.
Life Under the Oaks is honored to host this treasured Arizona author. Turner’s novel is near and dear to my heart—my daughters and I deeply love it, seeing as the protagonist is a strong, female pioneer and the plot is set partially in Tucson and throughout Arizona before it was established as a U.S. state. Obviously, many people enjoyed the book since it was a finalist for the Willa Cather Literary Award and winner of Arizona Author of the Year!
Mrs. Turner will hold a reading and Q&A session of the book at the Lavender Manor in Tucson on Saturday, April 1 at 2 p.m. A second session will take place on Sunday, April 2 at 11 a.m. at the Lavender Farm in Oracle.
The fee of $25 also includes tea and scones. There will be an opportunity to purchase a signed book. Mrs. Turner will also have additional books that she has authored available for purchase. We hope you will take advantage of this rare and special opportunity to meet such a talented author and support the Lavender Farm as well! We would like to continue offering these types of educational and inspiring events. Please reserve your spot at www.lifeundertheoakslavenderfarm.com.
