Did you know that if you learn the beginner line dance called the Electric Slide, you can dance it to over 20 different songs? The electric slide is taught in the Level 1 line dance class here at SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR). You may be familiar with the steps as it is popular at weddings and other celebrations. The dance is associated with the classic song from 1982 called “Electric Boogie” by Marcia Griffiths.

Some other songs that are also compatible are:

“Mustang Sally” by Wilson Pickett, “Elvira” by The Oak Ridge Boys, “Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da” by The Beatles, “Down on the Corner” by CCR, “Summer in the City” by Lovin’ Spoonful, “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus, “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson, and “September” by Earth Wind & Fire.

If you are interested in learning this dance or would like a refresher, more information is found on the SBR dance club website: sbrsbdc.clubexpress.com.

New classes are starting in early August. There are 5 levels of instruction to choose from:

Level 1, Level 1 Plus, Level 2, Level 2 Plus, and Level 3.

Come and join the fun!
