Line Dance Party a Big Success!

Line dancers at the SaddleBrooke Ranch Line Dance Party

Charles Hendryx

On June 23 at the Ranch House Ballroom, SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) line dancers hosted a line dance party. More than 70 dancers came from Voyager Line Dance at Voyager RV Resort, Sunliners Line Dance at Oro Valley Sun City, SaddleBrooke, SaddleBrooke Ranch, and as walk-ins. For example, Vail, Ariz., had a dance instructor attend and help. Line dancers stepped to music from a variety of musical genres. Participant feedback was very positive, including comments like, “We need to do this again!”

The Ranch line dance leadership team of Sandy Calemine, Diane Seyl, and Angela Jerman worked with John Hess, the SBR line dance coordinator, to organize, advertise, invite area line dancers, and host the successful event. SaddleBrooke’s Sandy Calemine and Dorothy Wood coordinated a playlist for DJs Gus D’ and Ms. Gina of DJ Extraordinaires. During the dance party, 13 leaders helped introduce each dance.

Starting in September, the Ranch Social Dance Club will continue to sponsor three levels of line dance lessons. Sandy Calemine is the line dance instructor at SBR. The Novice class is for people with no line dance experience. The Beginner class is for dancers with some line dance experience. The Improver class is for dancers with more line dance experience and feel the need to be challenged. Check the SBR Social Dance Club website at sbrsbdc.clubexpress.com for information.
