April showers brought both May flowers and beer to Ranch Western dancers.

On May 3, the SBR Social Dance Club welcomed the Oracle-based Hold My Beer Band in their first appearance at the Ranch. The record-breaking crowd of 100 Ranchers and guests gave the band a rousing welcome and kudos for the performance.

Dancers also enjoyed a special treata surprise free drink courtesy of the SBR Social Dance Club, in appreciation of their ongoing support of live Western music at the Ranch.

Each Western dance includes a drawing for a door prize, with eligibility requirements changing monthly. To be eligible for the May door prize, dancers were required to wear “something yellow or with flowers.” Mary Ann Leifer was the winnera four-pack of Ranch beer. Carrying out the “beer and yellow” theme, tables were decorated with beer bottles, yellow roses, and yellow bandanas.

The SBR Social Dance Club has been sponsoring monthly Western dances since September 2021. All levels of dancers are welcome. The club also periodically offers Western dance lessons in the two-step, Western waltz, swing, Country three-step, and partner pattern.
