At the monthly meeting of the Men’s Book Group, our resident author Dr. Thomas J. Sims will attend to discuss his book On Call in the Arctic, our assigned read for August. It’s his memoir of his first years as a doctor, describing his very interesting and sometimes harrowing experiences in the still-developing and harsh environment of Nome, Alaska, its surroundings, and its people.
All SaddleBrooke Ranch residents are invited to sit in. We’re sure it will be informative and entertaining!
After the meeting, you could buy the book, or Dr. Sims will be happy to sign your copy.
The Men’s Book Group is also looking for a few more members. Men should be willing to commit to reading at least one book per month and attend the monthly meetings to discuss them.
