Larry Kosiba offered a class on lidded box construction to students of all skill levels at the SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) pottery studio. Participants learned the step-by-step process of building both the base and a matching lid. The class focused on the technical skill of making sure the lid fits perfectly.
Larry guided the students through every stage of the process including drying, firing, and glazing. By the end of the class the students knew how to build their own functional, well-fitting containers. Larry’s class is one of many offered to the members of the pottery studio to continue and enhance the learning process of pottery design and construction.
The Mudslingers pottery studio is located in the SBR Arts and Technology Center. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
