Mudslingers Pottery—Ready for the ARTwalk

Patti Jo Lewis

The SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) ARTwalk is just weeks away. This is an annual event that draws folks from everywhere. The dates are Saturday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 22, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Mudslingers are gearing up to display their pottery pieces. This year’s event is a special opportunity to find gifts and collectibles handmade by our Mudslinger members. Don’t miss this exciting event!

At our pottery studio located in the SBR Arts Center: Claire Tietje will have a variety of housewares and gift items. Melanie Ritson will be there with her colorful artwork. Madoka Knight has made Southwest style décor and Halloween doughnuts. Rebecca Hilchie created ornaments and bowls with Southwest texture. Plus, our display case has pieces created by other potters.

At potters’ homes at the Ranch: Other potters will be showing at their homes here at the Ranch. Janice Mihora, at 31739 S. Misty Basin Road, has one-of-a-kind bowls, platters, plates, and vases decorated with Southwest scenes, ’60s and ’70s music lyrics, and Christmas- and Halloween-themed pottery. Pat Vonk, at 60376 E. Arroyo Vista Drive, will exhibit cactus, luminaries, vases, pots for plants, bowls, owls, and tabletop totems. Julie Edmonson, at 61837 E. Happy Jack Trail, will have unique platters and other fine artwork.
