What could be more fun than painting wine glasses while enjoying the laughter and camaraderie of new and existing friends? Did I include that you can imbibe with your personal libations while doing this?
There’s no need to know how to paint! This is a class where everyone is a beginner, and even if you are all thumbs, you will leave with two terrific-looking wine glasses (or two tumblers) at the end of the evening.
I have taken this class previously. Everyone enjoyed it. Everyone left with glasses that looked like the picture. Every time I use my wine glass, I remember how much I enjoyed that event and how proud I am of what I did.
The tumbler/wine glass painting class is being offered on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 4 p.m. by Christine Lytwynczuk. We are pleased to introduce Christine. She graduated cum laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a B.F.A. in painting, and took graduate classes in art teaching. She has more than 25 years of teaching expierience. She now teaches both privately and at an art center.
Class description: Christine will provide detailed step-by-step instruction, teaching brush strokes and techniques. The theme to be painted will be cherry blossoms. She uses special acrylic glass paint that will stay on your painted glass permanently! It is even dishwasher safe. Two glasses will be painted simultaneously, so you will leave with a pair. You have a choice of either two stemmed wine glasses or two non-stemmed tumbler glasses. So, if you don’t want a wine glass, you can paint tumblers, which have beverage versatility. Please mark your choice of glass style on your check.
