The Tributaries Are Returning!
Barry Swartzberg
The Tributaries are returning to DesertView in a benefit for the Oracle Schools Foundation on April 13. Tickets are going fast, so do not miss your chance to see and hear this awesome group! Last March, the Tributaries rocked the DesertView Theatre, playing to a sold-out auditorium for over two hours in a benefit concert for the Oracle Schools Foundation. This talented group had an enthusiastic audience dancing in their seats, in the aisles, singing along, tapping their feet, and clapping to the music! The concert ended with an energetic crowd, giving the band a well-deserved standing ovation.
TThe band will be playing an all-new concert consisting of a medley of songs from the many Tributaries shows they perform, such as Woodstock; the Eagles; Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; Linda Ronstadt; Simon & Garfunkel; and Good Morning Vietnam. (Mindy Ronstadt, niece of Linda Ronstadt, is part of this talented group.)
In addition to their great vocals and mesmerizing guitar work, the band pays homage to the artists and bands they are showcasing by sharing interesting bits of trivia about them. So, even if you have attended one or more of their shows at the Gaslight Music Hall or elsewhere, this will be an experience you won’t want to miss!
Tickets are now on sale for this April 13 concert. You can purchase them in person at the SaddleBrooke HOA TWO Administration Building, online through the DesertView website at saddlebrooketwo.showare.com, or by calling 520-818-1000, ext 4.
This concert benefits the Oracle Schools Foundation, which helps fund preschool and other educational programs at the Mountain Vista School in Oracle to ensure that these students have unlimited opportunity to succeed.
We are pleased to announce that the Premier Sponsor for this benefit concert is Ann Fraley of Long Realty.

Thank You for Attending the CS & M Concert
Donna Pedota, Dale Farland, Joy Hellard, and Laura Haslett
Once again, the CS & M Trio performed at the SaddleBrooke Ranch Ballroom as a fundraiser for the Oracle Schools Foundation (OSF). This is the second year they performed and the concert was sold out at 350 seats.
The board members of the Oracle Schools Foundation who reside in SaddleBrooke Ranch, Donna Pedota, Dale Farland, Joy Hellard, and Laura Haslett, are grateful to all those who purchased tickets. This concert is so important in meeting our fundraising goals to provide free KinderPrep (preschool) for 3- and 4-year-old students in Oracle.
The annual budget only for KinderPrep is over $120,000. In addition, OSF funds other programs such as Accelerated Reading and Math Enhancement programs for students at K-8 Mt. Vista School. Mt. Vista School is a Title I school meaning that the majority of the families are low income.
Everyone who purchased tickets should be proud of themselves because proceeds from this concert funded four KinderPrep scholarships. This is why we are delighted that 350 residents purchased tickets. In addition, this year, we had a corporate sponsor, Debra Miller of State Farm Insurance.
Plus, thank you to the many SBR residents who passed the word to friends and neighbors to purchase tickets for the concert. There are too many to mention; however, we appreciate all your efforts. Remember, it takes a village to make an event such as this successful and to make sure the children of Oracle have an opportunity to have a leg up in their academic life.
