Pickleball Club celebrates a successful year on the courts

Taking a break from the fun and challenges of the court, the members and guests of the SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Club headed to the Cadillac Chaparral Restaurant to enjoy food, drink, music, dance and laughter. The Chaparral prepared a great feast of pulled pork and chicken along with their signature beans and salads for over 125 guests. Steve Phillips provided his DJ skills to entertain the group during dinner and to entice many to the dance floor to show off those moves they have all developed playing pickleball. After dinner many raffle prizes were awarded bringing cheers as many took home great prizes donated by members of the club along with local vendors like It’s Greek to Me, SaddleBrooke Ranch Bistro Veinte and Sonoran Dreams Landscaping, to name a few. Three brave air-guitar musicians, Vickie Ray, Deb Lawson and Gary Grasso, came to the stage to show off their skills and amaze the crowd.

The members of the club were asked to bring food to donate to the local foodbank, and they came through with numerous bags of canned goods and non-perishable items. It was a generous group.

Many members of the club volunteered in making this a special celebration, but special thanks goes to Elida Jerman for organizing this event.
