Pickleball Olympics

The Olympics were not just in Paris! The SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Association (SBRPA) held its own Olympics of sorts, and it was a blast! It started on July 25 with a Torch Parade that featured our official sponsor, SBRanchRealty.com, firefighters, representatives supporting cancer survivors, police, and military, and the final torchbearer was Ray Ritson, a 90-year-old pickleball player! Unfortunately, after an hour of trying to compete, the weather got the upper hand and the event was postponed to Aug. 8. It was perhaps the most fun ever had by 60+ people. They competed in PicklePutt, PicklePong, Pickle Volleyball, and perhaps the favorite, the Dill Dash, among others. In the end, Team Mexico came away with the Gold, Team Australia with the Silver, and Team Greece with the Bronze. Everyone is talking about doing it more often than every four years and definitely starting a Pickleball Volleyball club. All in all, fun was had by all!
