M.C. Nelson
The SBRanch Democratic Club had Dana Lewis, the Pinal County Recorder, come speak about the upcoming elections and county readiness. Not only was she a great speaker, but she also answered questions and showed that she and her team are prepared to handle the events of the upcoming primary election as well as the presidential election. Dana is a believer in free and fair elections without issue.
She also informed us about the Pinal County Recording service (online) that will prevent anyone from being scammed by alerting you to any property or mechanic liens, property transactions, loans, and transfers, and encouraged us to sign up for this free service at acclaim.pinalcountyaz.gov/PublicRecordsNotificationWeb.
We also had a visit from Kirsten Engel, Congressional Candidate for Legislative District 6 (LD 6). Kirsten is a professor at the University of Arizona, an environmental attorney, and former Arizona legislator. She is a practical and pragmatic individual who wants quality of life for all Arizonans—education, fundamental rights, growth in industry and jobs for our region, addressing water and pollution concerns, affordable housing, stopping price gouging, and a bipartisan solution for immigration.
The SBRanch Democratic Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month in the LaMesa and LaVista rooms at 4:15 p.m. We believe in democracy, and our goal is to educate many new residents coming from other states on the political structure of Arizona; inform you about issues unique to our state, county and region; and bring in candidates and speakers so that you may learn in detail about topics and situations in your new home state.
We are a growing club and welcome Democratic and Independent forward-thinking individuals to attend and join the club.
