Ranch Roots does research field trips to Family History Center

Carol Andrews

The Ranch genealogy group will use its April meeting to prepare for a research field trip. If you came to our March genealogy clinic, this is a great opportunity to get started on your own research! Learning what to know in advance of a visit to a genealogy library is important to make the most of your time on site. So at our regular 1:00 p.m. meeting on Monday, April 25, we’ll talk about what resources are available at the Family History Center here in Tucson and what you need to know in advance. Gloria Quigg who volunteers at the center will tell us what to bring. Space is limited, and we don’t want to overwhelm the staff so we’ll divide into two groups and on Wednesday, April 27, and Tuesday, May 3, we’ll go to the Family History Center on Magee. We’ll meet at 9:00 a.m. to carpool and return by 3:00 p.m. There are a few restaurants within a mile but none close, so if you want to make the most of your time, pack a lunch. Please let Carol Andrews know which trip you plan to attend by Friday, April 22, as we need to let the staff at the Family History Center know how many to plan for.
