The SaddleBrooke Ranch Genealogy Club, Ranch Roots, will host a Beginning Genealogy class on Jan. 7 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. in the La Mesa/La Montana Room of the Hacienda Club. The class will provide the foundation for research allowing you to achieve success in creating a living and lasting record of your family’s journey.
There are a wide variety of research websites now online, many of which are free, or offer free components! Discover which website holds the largest number of records, the largest variety of records. Learn techniques which will help you to accurately research, record, and evaluate the evidence you discover of your ancestors’ lives. You will also receive an overview of ways to bring this information to life for yourself and your family!
You are encouraged to bring your laptop and some basic information regarding your family to the class. You will receive a variety of forms to assist you in your research.
