Members of the SBR Texas Club and their guests met on Sunday, Sept. 19, for a “Taste of Texas,” an afternoon sharing a scoop of Blue Bell ice cream. Eighteen club members/guests braved the afternoon heat on the Bistro patio as they shared their stories of growing up in Texas or ofr “getting there as fast as they could.”

The group gathered in front of the Texas flag for a picture, a tradition at all Texas Club events. Everyone then cooled off with individual servings of vanilla and chocolate Blue Bell ice cream (made in Texas, of course).

The Texas Club met for the first time in March 2019 and held its last social in October 2019, prior to the COVID pause. With many new members, the Club plans to hold a social event quarterly.

If you were born in Texas or “got there as fast as you could” and would like to join the SBR Texas Club, contact Janelle Authur, Judie Townsend, or Linda Zoellner at their contact information in the Ranch directory.
