Congratulations to the 2026 Tucson Cinco De Mayo Champions! The SaddleBrooke Rattlers finished the tournament undefeated and brought home a hard-fought championship at this year’s Tucson Cinco De Mayo tournament.
The Rattlers finished Saturday’s first round as the #1 seed going 2-0-1. On Sunday’s elimination play, the Rattlers held off the Tucson Chavos for a 21-14 victory to advance to the championship game against the Green Valley Fever (the team they tied on Saturday). As expected, the championship game was a back-and-forth affair with the Fever holding a 1–run lead going into the 6th inning. The Rattler defense held the Fever to 0 runs in the top half of the 6th and the Rattlers’ offense answered with 5 runs in the bottom half to take a 4-run lead into the 7th and final inning. The Fever scored 2 runs and had the bases loaded with 2 outs when Rattlers’ pitcher, Len Gann, struck out the final Fever batter for a 15-13 victory.
