The SaddleBrooke Ranch Library Committee will discuss the final book in the Read America 250 Program on June 17.

First Family: Abigail and John Adams, written by Pulitzer Prize Winner Joseph J. Ellis, will be discussed on June 17, from 4-6 p.m. in the La Vista Room at the Hacienda Club. As the first Vice President of the United States, the second President, and the father of the sixth President of the United States, John, with Abigail by his side, are special participants in the birth and success of the American Experiment.

Attendees to the discussions will each receive a raffle ticket for a chance to receive the book The American Revolution: An Intimate History, by Geoffrey C. Ward and Ken Burns, the companion book to the PBS documentary, “The American Revolution.”

All community members are invited to read the book and participate in the discussion.
