Pain is personal. But its effect on everyday life is universal. Pain disrupts our routines, keeps us from doing the things we enjoy, and affects the time we spend with family and friends.
While traditional pain management focuses on medications to treat or mask symptoms, Dr. Ashu Goyle, a holistic pain physician, and Dr. Kerry Zang, a regenerative medicine foot and ankle specialist, offer a different approach through regenerative medicine—using the body’s natural healing processes to repair, replace, or regenerate damaged tissues.
“It’s about finding the root cause of your pain and treating it,” says Dr. Goyle. “Regenerative medicine enhances the body’s ability to heal itself, offering a natural alternative for conditions that are currently difficult to treat, like chronic pain; pain from an injury; or neck, back, and joint pain.”
The newest treatment involves mVASC, the first allograft for the microvascular system. This system delivers oxygen, nutrients, and growth factors to maintain healthy tissue and normal function.
When damaged, muscles, tendons, tissues, and nerves don’t get the vital support they need to heal.
“Neuropathy, arthritis, and injuries have one thing in common. They all need a healthy microvascular system to repair damaged nerves and tissue,” explains Dr. Zang. “I believe we have found a missing link for treating these chronic conditions.”
This link involves small blood vessels that deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues and nerves and remove waste. When this system breaks down, the body signals through unhealing injuries, burning sensations, numbness, or persistent pain in the back, neck, and joints.
The new in-office treatment is administered through an injection of mVasc, after which the body begins incorporating the allograft. By restoring microvascular tissue and improving local blood flow, it helps stimulate the body’s natural healing ability. This improved blood flow provides the needed oxygen and nutrients for healing damaged tissue.
“I want to help patients get back to the life they love with less pain and more freedom to move,” says Dr. Goyle. “Regenerative medicine is a powerful tool to help achieve that.”
Dr. Goyle and Dr. Zang will present at the SaddleBrooke Ranch Ballroom on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 1 p.m., discussing regenerative medicine and answering questions about this new treatment.
